A Walsall wellbeing consultancy is set to expand its digital offer and improve access to mental health and wellbeing resources after securing a £2,000 grant from Walsall Business Support.
Beet Consultancy was founded by Kerry Tonks in 2026 following her eight years of experience delivering Mental Health First Aid training through Steps to Work in Walsall.
The business was developed after Kerry decided to build her own consultancy focused on supporting wellbeing, leadership and personal development across organisations.
The consultancy delivers a range of services including Mental Health First Aid training, leadership and people development coaching, menopause awareness training, resilience coaching and one-to-one support covering anxiety, depression, eating disorders and self-harm.
The company is also expanding its offer to include safeguarding training in response to growing demand from organisations.
Kerry works with a broad client base across the public, private and voluntary sectors, as well as supporting individuals facing multiple barriers to employment, helping them build confidence and re-enter the workplace.
The £2,000 grant will be used to improve the business’s digital presence through the development of a new website designed by Eighty3 Design, as well as the purchase of a printer to support training delivery and participant feedback materials.
Kerry Tonks, Director of Beet Consultancy, said: “I am absolutely thrilled to receive this grant. It will make a huge difference in helping me reach more people and share practical support around mental health, menopause and wellbeing.
“The new website will allow me to provide ongoing resources and updates, as well as promote support groups and training opportunities. I am really grateful for the guidance I received and the support in exploring funding options.”
Led by leading business figures to distribute funds collected from the legacy of Walsall Chamber of Commerce, Walsall Business Support funds projects to enhance the borough’s economy.
Walsall Business Support board member, Angela Henderson, said: “We are very happy to support Beet Consultancy as they invest in growing their reach and developing their services. Their focus on mental health, wellbeing and leadership development addresses important needs across our communities and workplaces in Walsall.”
Looking ahead, Beet Consultancy aims to break down stigma around mental health, menopause and neurodiversity while helping individuals and organisations build greater understanding and resilience.
Kerry also has ambitions to establish a Beet Training and Coaching Academy in the future, offering structured programmes for leaders and employers focused on mental health awareness, resilience and positive workplace culture.
